A lot of preparations have to be done for smooth conduct of Chandika Homam-Ponkala. Preparation of kits for the Distributtion of all items for Ponkala viz.earthen vessel, Bricks, firewood, rice, pooja items and navadhanyam, Silkcloth, various yagya dravyams for each homam etc. consumes lot of time for the volunteers. In addition to this, management of counters, distribution centres, drinking water/ butter milk supply to devetees, help to ponkala devotees, preparation and distribution of food etc. also to be taken care of. Without the help of a strong force of dedicated volunteers, this could not have been done.
